The Texas Firehouse is currently booked for the 2008 season. Submissions from artists and curators will be reviewed in February for 2009, artists and curators will be contacted in early March.

Unlike Chelsea, we actually do want to show your art!

The Texas Firehouse is always accepting submissions. Our shows run during the decent-weather months of May to October. Shows are curated by Firehouse artists and are of the group variety. Shows run for one night only.

Electronic submissions are encouraged via website or CD, but please send whatever best suits your work. Please also include a CV and installation proposal if needed.

ARTISTS

Send us your website URL or digital images via email along with any other pertinent information that we might find helpful/insightful/entertaining. Please keep in mind that this is a party atmosphere and while we are extra careful accidents can happen (though have not yet). The Firehouse doesn't carry insurance on work and cannot take work that is especially fragile. The Firehouse takes a 10% comission on works sold.

MUSICIANS/PERFORMERS

Send us your website URL, MySpace page, or other documentation via email or postal mail. We especially like great bands, performance artists, people making weird/exciting/new things happen live. The Firehouse encourages the strange and totally awesome. Sadly, we lose money on these shows and cannot pay performers, though you are welcome to sell CD's. There is an in-house PA available for a negotiable fee.

CURATORS

The Texas Firehouse presents two shows each season from an outside curator. All shows must adhere to the curatorial submission guidelines.
